Why Physiotherapy ?

We provide a range of movement-based therapies to maximise your baby or child’s physical skillset. This may involve supporting children with orthopaedic, neurological or genetic conditions in learning how to roll, sit, crawl or walk. Our assessments, treatments and management plans increase confidence and independent mobility. It’s a play-based, goal centred approach that aims to make therapy individualised and lots of fun!

Our Physiotherapists are specifically trained to support children with developmental delays.

    • You have concerns about your child’s development, particularly their achievement of movement and play skills.

    • You would like help with learning baby handling, play skills, and prompting movement.

    • Your baby or child has a diagnosed neurological, neurodevelopmental or neuromuscular condition, such as cerebral palsy or Down syndrome, which is causing or may cause movement difficulties.

    • Your child seems to have poor posture, clumsiness, frequent trips or falls, poor balance and/or coordination.

    • You need advice about what equipment, resources or adaptations your child may require to help them achieve their goals.

    • Your child has been recommended to receive regular physiotherapy intervention to help their movement or to progress their gross motor skills.

    • Your child needs access to hydrotherapy to facilitate learning and movement in an aquatic environment.

    • Your child has been referred by their medical team for specific physiotherapy interventions such as serial casting.

Our Physiotherapists are specifically trained for infant and child treatments.

Physiotherapy is a specialist area that focuses on the unique and individual needs of a child and their condition. By assessing movement patterns and gross motor skills in early child development, our physiotherapists can provide assessments and tailored therapy programs to assist and improve mobility and independence later in life.
